JP and Jono

During our collaborative residency we plan to explore how organic and manipulated materials; wood, paper, watercolor and found objects, respond to play, emotional interactions and creative embellishment. We will use our time at All That We Are to workshop and build plans for our collaborations in the coming year.

-

JP Morrison Lans’ work explores the threshold between our interior world and external emotions, depicting the figure alongside abstraction in a variety of mediums in an attempt to visually capture the complexity of the human experience and more specifically that of womanhood, motherhood and her journey through these societal frameworks.
-
Jono Lans works primarily in wood and clay. Lans’ sculptures focus on how these two materials meet, contrast and settle into simple shapes.
Jono is drawn to modern design, clean geometry, pared-back forms, and subtle abstraction that highlight their deliberate and organic interaction.
