The Northcote League of Bookmen

bookmeneating1450 hosted a meeting of the Northcote League of Bookmen men's book club The men had come over from Melbourne to spend a few days in Tasmania and have their regular monthly book club meeting as part of the experience. 1450 provides a great venue for bookclubs to get away to a new environment; sparking new viewpoints and stimulating discussion about the book in hand....

If anybody is planning a writers' workshop I can recommend a week or two there with a group of about up to ten. They understand the processes, and needs for writers to have varied places to work and would offer a no-fuss venue for an event. More than a venue. So any Australian science fiction writer organising a location could not find a more stimulating, peaceful, and convenient place.
