I will be working on a new piece for a Van Diemen's Band and Andrew O'Connor recording project inspired by the text 'Mein herz ist bereit'. The piece stems from a text I am writing in French centred around the idea of being ready to embark on a particular adventure, but life sending you on a different course. It will explore the unique colours of historical instruments, combined with the singular voice of Andrew O'Connor. The residency will offer the chance for reflection, solo composition time and collaborative sessions with Julia Fredersdorff. I can't wait to dive in.
