Janelle (they/them) here, a PhD researcher doing their thesis at the University of Melbourne, which looks at the representations of migrant homes in legal and cultural texts. They are also a creative writer, and is primarily a writer of creative non-fiction and autobiography/memoir, some of which might find its way into the PhD. That is the main intention for this residency, to work on the creative writing aspects of the PhD in a setting perhaps more conducive to creative work than the hustle and bustle of a law school.
